Customer Review: Everything I was looking for in a juicer

The main features that I was looking for in a juicer were that it be fairly inexpensive (as this is my first juicer), not require a lot of cutting or preparation of the fruits and vegetables, and be quick and easy to clean. Over the past two weeks, I have found the Hamilton Beach 67650H Big Mouth Pro Juice Extractor to meet all those criteria, and I am very satisfied with it so far.
You can spend a lot on a juicer, but at the $64.95 I paid for it, this one was a pretty good deal. I was also not willing to spend a lot of time slicing up my produce before juicing it, so the wide opening is a great time saver. Even for a large apple, I only have to slice it in half before feeding it into the juicer. Once the produce is in there, it's only a matter of seconds before you've got your juice.
As others have mentioned, you may not get as much juice out of softer fruits and vegetables but from what I've read, that's not a fault of the model as much of the type of juicer it is (centrifugal vs. masticulating). One trick I found for juicing leafy greens is to fold them into a tight bunch before inserting them into the chute, so that they're easier to push it down with the pusher and spend more time against the blade. Also, for greens with stems, insert the leafy side in first so that the pusher maintains contact with the vegetable until it has been pushed all the way down.
As for the cleaning, I clean it immediately after use and it probably takes me about 5 minutes total. However, common sense dictates that if you wait too long to clean it, the pulp with dry and become harder to remove. Since I use a grocery bag in the pulp collector, I take it out and throw it away. Then I hand wash the other parts and use the included scrub brush to scrub the pulp out of the strainer. All the parts are machine washable, but since it's just fruit and vegetable pulp, a quick hand washing should be okay for a day to day basis.
It is very easy to take apart and reassemble. I have not had the problem that some other users mentioned with removing the strainer. I just lift the black piece that it is housed in off the motor and then turn it upside down. It comes right out.
So, in summary, if you are looking for a user-friendly introductory juicer, you will likely be very satisfied with this one.
