I read some negative reviews on this knife on several sites after coming home with it today, but before opening it. It was the only one on the shelf, and I needed one for my tons of finger sandwiches I have made lately. Despite all of that, I crossed my fingers and decided It was all I had and to use it anyway. Apparently there has been some redesign since this model first came out because it fit easily in my hand and the grip was not a problem. I'm very petite with tiny hands, and I had no problems with it being too large to grip well. The knife itself performed beautifully and sliced through towers of bread without smashing the pieces even a little bit. Compared to my old knife, this one was quieter. The meat fork that came with it and the case are sturdy and useful. A steal at $20 if you ask me!
