This is not the most technologically challenging product category out there, so I am not inclined to roll out superlatives in my rating or description. But this iced tea maker does what it is designed to do very well and with a minimum of fuss. Further, the aesthetic of the design is reasonably pleasing given the intrinsic nature of the design challenge. Like many others, I purchased this to replace a worn out Mr Coffee model, and I prefer the HB. Only drawback: where to put the tea-holding brewing container between uses.Customer Review: Time saving product

My dad loves making tea, so I figured I would try this out. Turned out to be one of the best investments I've ever made. We use this in my household every day to every other day. Saves a great amount of time by making it while you do other things. The only thing we do that the machine doesn't is put in a good amount of ice, but that's only needed if your trying to drink it on the spot and not let it cool, or put it in the fridge.Customer Review: Awesome convenient iced tea

We'd never used an iced tea maker before. We used to be sun tea fans, but hated the wait and inconsistency. Now I brew up a pitcher a day for my husband and me using the Hamilton Beach iced tea maker. It's quick and easy, and it makes great tea.
I think the overall design is simple and ingenious and the pitcher size is perfect. It makes about what we drink in a day - and I definitely prefer it freshly made so the size works just great for us. The pitcher shape makes it slip easily into the refrigerator, taking up minimal space. It cleans up easily - - I've put the brew basket, pitcher, and lid all in the dishwasher. And the pitcher holder slides back into the appliance when you remove the pitcher, so it takes up very little counter top space.
I have tried several kinds of tea bags, and all worked well. For our normal daily tea I use 5 Lipton tea bags. Measure water up to the water line in the pitcher then pour it into the appliance, dump ice into the pitcher up to the ice line, put tea bags in the brew basket on top of the ice, snap on the lid, put the pitcher in the holder, push one button, and we have great tea on ice in 5-10 minutes. The brew basket gets lifted out to dump the used tea bags in the trash. It's so easy you really can't mess it up.
I don't usually get enthusiastic about kitchen appliances, but this one has been such a great addition to our daily lives - I love it!

For years, I used the Mr. Coffee iced tea maker but always hated it. It was always dripping and a pain to use. The Hamilton Beach Iced Tea Maker has solved all my problems and I am now happily making a ton of iced tea. My husband and I are drinking a gallon a day now (great for loose leaf teas--actually I think it works better with loose leaf). I even bought another one so we could always have tea made because we are drinking it so fast. I am so glad I bought the Hamilton Beach....I absolutely love it. We are drinking a lot of green tea, rooibos, white tea from [...]. They have the best!!!!
