Customer Review: Disappointing

I purchased this "slow" cooker on July 28, 2009. Last week, I came home expecting slow-cooked Italian basil chicken, but what I got was a crock full of raw, wasted chicken. I assumed that I had forgot to turn on the slow cooker, but it turns out that it was just broken. I only used the thing a handful of times between when I received it in August 2008 and the day it died on November 11, 2009. I assumed that I would get better than a 1 year lifespan out of the thing, but apparently not. Now, I'm searching for a more reliable option.
The other matter that is worth mentioning is that this cooker is not particularly slow. Even when it was programmed on the "low" setting, food would often still overcook.
