Customer Review: This Baby Makes Excellent Toast!

The Hamilton Beach 'Toastation' (I bought the 4 slice model) is, on the whole, a well designed and solidly built appliance (in addition to being much more aesthetically pleasing than its predecessor in my kitchen), in my opinion.
I read the complaints about the toaster portion of this appliance unevenly toasting bread, and thought to myself, "It's GOTTA do a better job than my (archaic) B&D toaster oven did." (which only toasted my bread on a single side near the end of its career) ... and it turns out that it absolutely DOES. What a treat it is to have my toast nice & brown on BOTH sides!
Also, the oven portion is more than suitable for low-profile foods like 9" pizzas and cinnmon rolls (I've used it for both); it heats up quickly, cooks evenly, and seems to accurately heat to the temperature on the knob.
Last but not least: the crumb-catching tray at the bottom does an *excellent* job - unless one leaves in the cooking tray while toasting bread (which I'm beginning to get into the habit of doing) - then it does an equally satisfactory job (and is slightly easier to remove and replace than the crumb tray) at catching all crumbs. Either way, this toaster + oven combo does an excellent job of keeping crumbs off my kitchen counter and floor.
*EDIT* 03/31/2011:
I discovered that the oven portion of this Toastation will do toaster pastries nicely (6 at a time, too), and it will also accommodate (store-bought) pot pies - if one doesn't mind the very edges of the crust coming out a *wee* bit singed (I don't mind) =D
